How Did the Film Came to Be?

09.28.23

During the first quarter, our task was to create a film showcasing the Municipality that was designated to us. I was grouped with Paul Dominguez, Jeynald Mecado, and Jam Reyes. We proceeded by collecting information about Orani from the book Jeynal borrowed from the Municipality's public library. From there, we used the online design and visual communication platform Canva. Our group produced a PowerPoint Presentation to display our research. Then, we went on an onsite trip to Orani.

Despite the unfavorable weather, we visited St. Michael the Archangel Parish Church, Duhat Trail, and Barangay Pag-asa. I did not expect to come along on the trip because I was recovering from a cold at that time. However, my group managed to convince me to pick them up at Barangay Pag-asa. I witnessed firsthand their dilemma. They were stranded and took shelter under a tiny hut as it continuously downpoured.

We took a quick stop at Jollibee because they hadn't had breakfast or lunch, only mentioning this to me at 3 PM. Then, we drove to Duhat Trail. It seemed like a good idea at the time, but it all changed when our shoes were covered in unending mud. Nevertheless, it was still a fun experience. We decided to call it a day after having lunch at Food Project.

Afterward, we edited the videos and images into one film using iMovie. We recorded our parts to add as an audio overlay using our devices' Voice Memos apps. Then, Paul edited the subtitles using Capcut. Overall, we used four different platforms to create our Social Media Project. The film was presented to the whole class on the agreed-upon deadline.
